swapping with no auto follow possible?

switching from one screen to the other triggers follow, which is fine most of the time. but sometimes, when not in combat, i want to let the toons do different things (profession-wise for instance), but swapping interrupts the activity, so i have to wait till the toon is finished before starting with another one. i would like to have both possibilities, with and without follow (i would like to have my cake and eat it).

Re: swapping with no auto follow possible?

In your Character Set, for each Slot, there is an option on the Switching tab to "Do This Mapped Key". This is probably set to Key Map: Control and Mapped Key: Follow/JambaMaster. If you don't want the auto-follow on switch, change the Mapped Key to just JambaMaster. Of course, if you are not using Jamba then adjust as necessary.

If you wanted to be able to toggle the behaviour between the two options then I would look at Mapped Key Virtualization and another Mapped Key to turn the virtualisation on and off using a Mapped Key Virtualisation Action. Warning: virtualisation is an advanced ISBoxer technique and will make your brain hurt for a while.

I find it much easier to just turn the auto-follow on switch behaviour off and then issue a manual follow command to my team. Having this on a mouse thumb button makes it very easy to do.

Re: swapping with no auto follow possible?

thanks alge. my brain is hurtin' enough so i' ll just switch the auto off. i already push the follow key automatically each time i switch or end a combat.
