need some help/guidance please

my brain is numb! ive watched the videos searched on the forums but I cant seem to get this stuff to work. I have ISBoxer loaded and working with my char. set. I have jamba installed and the auto follow works. that part is great.

What I cannot seem to figure out is in my group (main will be my paladin, other toon is a warlock) how i set it up to where I can move my voidwalker to the target and cast my DOTS from the warlock WHILE im still controlling the paladin. I know it has to do with key maps but I cant seem to tie it all together and make it coherent.

If someone could help with some guidance or point me in the right direction, it would be much appreciated.

Re: need some help/guidance please

The easiest route to take is to not do any configuring in ISBoxer. What most new people will do is make in-game macros and rearrange their main action bar. For example, one or more of the action bar buttons can have a wow macro that does /petattack and then /cast whatever. The more you can consolidate your buttons instead of using 1 button per spell, the better. /castsequence helps a lot with this.

If you aren't comfortable/familiar with wow macros and don't want to set them up, then your other choice is to make lots of separate hotkeys (and either way the following information is helpful). What it boils down to is "I want to press ____, and have it press ____ in the other window". You can do that as many times for as many different keys as you want, with or without the auto-assist. You can copy existing mapped keys in the "FTL DPS Keys" map like so:
1. In the top pane under Key Maps, select "FTL DPS Keys"
2. In the bottom left pane, right click "DPS 1" and select "Make Copy"
3. Rename the copy
4. Click the < button by the Hotkey on the right. This is how you activate the mapping, and it doesn't have to be similar in any way to what it sends to the other window.
5. Expand your new hotkey in the bottom left so you can see Steps, 1 under it, then click on 1
6. On the right you'll see 2 Actions in the Step. The top one handles the auto-assist, leave that alone unless you want to remove auto-assist from this key (in which case just delete it). The bottom one says "1 -> all", select that and change the Key Combination to what you want it to press after assisting. If you only want specific windows to press this key, change the Target, otherwise all windows will do it.

That's it, you can File, Export and ISBoxer will reload this and let you use the new mapping in game immediately.

Re: need some help/guidance please

THanks!! I had actually watched the video again and was beginning to put some stuff together! I got a few simple macros to work so thats good.

If i read what you said correctly, and i probably didnt, I could copy all the DPS keys, map them to my slaved character and essentially hit alt+1 or alt+2 from my main screen and control the spell from the slaved character? I would have to move the copied key maps to the proper character as well, I assume.

also, is there a way to have your slaved character auto target what your main targets without using an assist macro?
