Black screen when start up.

I'm not sure it's WOW 4.1 issue or what. When i lauch the game through isboxer/innerspace, the game pop up and only black screen without sound. Is there have any additional setup for Wow 4.1 and Isboxer updated? It's never happen before 4.1.
Thanks for help~
And i'm sorry for my poor english...

Re: Black screen when start up.

Yeah you forgot to uncheck the box that says "Make the screen black and the sound not work so I can't play" ;)

No, there is no configuration (or lack thereof) you can do in ISBoxer to get a bug like a big black screen that makes it impossible to play, and nothing new for WoW 4.1. The software is plug and play, it should still "just work" unless you really manage to get in there and rig something up for destruction.

Whatever is happening is clearly a bug and it is not common so I don't have something specific to tell you as far as how to fix it. But I can give you some things to try that may or may not help.
1. The first thing I would do is check for new video drivers, usually from ati.com or nvidia.com depending on your video card.
2. You can also try resetting your Config.WTF files for each character -- you can just delete the extra Config-MyCharacter.WTF files from the World of Warcraft\WTF folder, and they will get re-created based on the original Config.WTF.
3. And lastly, if you are on Windows Vista or Windows 7 can try switching the game between Direct3D9 and Direct3D11 mode. Some people have recently reported new issues with Direct3D11; potentially related. There may be separate Direct3D9 and 11 Game Profiles already made for you under World of Warcraft in IS. To switch any given Character to use the other, select him in the top pane in ISBoxer under Characters, then in the bottom right is a drop-down box for the Game Profile.

I was having similar issues as well.

1. If you are using a pre-4.1 login screen edit, you'll need to get rid of that. (If you don't know what this is then don't worry about it)
2. If you have manually chosen which monitor WoW should be running on by using the in game settings, try clearing that line in your config.wtf(s) and see if that changes anything. (This was happening to me trying to split a character set between GPUs)

Re: Black screen when start up.

When i was setting up everything fresh i ran into it as well, what i did i deleted everything what was in wow, wtf folder, again i had lots of garbage there from since im wow player since vanilla, than i went back and created toons and login so comp HD can see all the toons when going thru boxer setup - that fixed. it is something to do with display, by deleting WTF files from your existing wow folder it will reset, settings, also i woulnt use directx11 in wow settings, i found some bugs in gamewhen using directx11.

Re: Black screen when start up.

Someone in the ISBoxer Chat Room said that if you have WoW in Direct3D11 and you move the window, you get the black screen. This happens in WoW without ISBoxer or Inner Space.

With ISBoxer, your Window Layout typically moves the window immediately. Aside from the obvious (switch to Direct3D9 until the issue in WoW is corrected) you might be able to remove or alter your Window Layout to work around this issue. In my case, my WoW is set to full screen windowed at my desktop resolution, and so is ISBoxer (via the Full Screen Stacked layout), so ISBoxer does not need to move the windows.

Re: Black screen when start up.

I also have this problem at the moment. Switching to DX11 ingame and on the next start of my team all windows stay black (reproducable). Strange thing was: If I launch the game only once (directly in the game folder) with DX11 activated it launches without any problems. That behaviour took me half a day on patchday 4.1 to find out that acutally DX11 was the thing that was buggy.
