multilogin with an authenticator?

I bound an authenticator to my battlenet account (holds all 5 of my wow accounts) and tried logging in as usual typing the password and authenticator code in all 5 windows at the same time. Yet only one account accepts the code - but I was able to log into the accounts subsequently by providing 5 different authenticator codes. Is that working as intended?

I used to use an iphone authenticator app and changed over to the new Dial-in Athenticator. Now I can login all 5 clients at once, without sacrificing security. I love it!

I was hacked using the dial-in authenticator. Never been hacked when using the physical authenticator. There are tons of reports saying the dial-in authenticator just isn't that safe.

The dial in authenticator is a fairly new technology, at least for Blizzard.
I'd assume in the future, it will be the way to go.
No need to do any authentication.
And have the protection of needing to authenticate from any non-normal IP address.

At the moment, Blizzard appears to have difficulty in identifying when someone is using a different IP address than their normal address, at least for some people.

If you have one authenticator, attached to multiple different B.Net accounts.
That is the best approach at the moment.
Keep that, until the battery starts to die, as you can no longer attach one authenticator to more than a single B.Net account.
With five B.Net accounts, and a single authenticator tied to each, one code gets them all into game.
Possibly call Blizzard and see if they will attach all your accounts to the one device; if they will, you're golden.

Sadly I have all wow accounts on one bnet account. But I think I can deal with logging in 5 accounts with 5 codes once a day. I mitigated to returning to character selection and switching teams there in ISboxer instead of completely shutting down the clients.

A generated code is still good 13 minutes after you generate it.
But a generated code that is 14 minutes old has expired.

You can push the authenticator several times.
And write down the codes in order.

The only real stipulation is that they have to be used in the correct order.
But if you have five codes ready to go, you can enter them in rapid succession.

Ah its about the order that might have been the problem with logging 5 clients at once I cant make them preserve the correct order if I broadcast the last click.
