It sounds like you were on the dev build? There are potentially some niggles with the input system revamp, but you've not provided enough info in either post for that to be gauged.
From the description given, I expect there was one of following things going on.
- the configuration may have been incorrect and even though you thought broadcasting was off, it was not.
- you were using a controller and left this out of the detail
- a patching issue ended up with some mismatched files in the install which provided some erratic behaviour
- you were on the dev build testing out the new input system and it has an incompatibility with your input system (there was a problem with a trackball where the directions were reversed) that needs to be reported with some decent detail so it can be resolved.
