I did a fresh installation of Windows 8, WoW and ISBoxer, and I am currently unable to reproduce a mouse spinning issue... It seems to operate the same as on Windows 7.

Actually I can reproduce an issue like it, but so far ONLY over Remote Desktop (and this happens with or without IS/ISBoxer over Remote Desktop).

Can you make sure you have Hardware Cursor enabled in WoW? (I believe this option is under System, Advanced, in the game)

Made a video with Fraps showing that ISBoxer is working with the exception of the cursor. Whenever I click, it immediately goes under the character. I run WoW fine, unless I use ISBoxer.

Edit: Have Hardware Cursor Enabled.

Re: Windows 8 Update (Need Help)

It's not that I don't believe you don't have this issue, and I understand what you're saying.. but we have to figure out what is different for you than for me or everyone else using Windows 8 because we've proven that there is some requirement beyond "I am running Windows 8" ;)

So.. here's some questions that might help get us started..

Is there anything special about your mouse? what kind of mouse is it?

In the WoW video options, what is WoW set to for windowed mode? (Out of the 3 available settings)

Do you have WoW in DIrectX 9 or DirectX 11 mode? (Note: I got a lot better performance out of dx9 mode in my testing this morning, with or without IS/ISBoxer. Didn't have this problem in either mode though.)

Have you tried adjusting the mouse sensitivity option in the game?

I have the Razer Mouse with the 12 buttons on the Side. Naga? I believe.

It is Windowed FullScreen.

I have tried DX9 and DX11 Settings, even tried out the other setting (recommended or something along those lines it gives for quick wizard). Both having the same issue.

I know what you mean, I just wanted to give a better description as to what was happening with me, other than trying to explain myself. Easier to see on video. ;)

Just an FYI too, I have another program (AutoHotKey), the poor mans dual-boxer, and that runs fine with no issue.

Edit( just read this)
Also, as far as the mouse sensitivity. Its not moving it gets it to that section. It's whenever I click on the mouse. it goes directly like in the video. Thus me being unable to move the mouse around. I have tried to set the settings down, still same problem.

For .Net FW 3.5, all you have to do is turn it on. To do this, mouse over the right edge and click the search button. Type "Features" (no quotes) and click "Turn Windows Features On/Off. It should be the first option.

As for DX9, allow the entire instaler to run. I know, it's a PITA and it takes long, but it installs the correct DX ISBoxer uses.

I'm having the exact same issue. Has anyone figured out what the problem is? The game is totally unplayable using ISBoxer.

Re: Windows 8 Update (Need Help)

Chumbucket came into the ISBoxer Chat Room just now and we did a quick test and found a workaround for this bug.

[13:01] <Chumbucket> Heya, I recently got a new computer and loaded Windows 8, Innerspace, ISBoxer and when i loaded a team and tried to play i left mouse clicked on the window and the camera pointed to the ceiling. I noticed it does this everytime. Ive seen this has been an issue for others and was wondering if there was a way to fix this?
[13:03] <Lax> Chumbucket: i assume you're playing WoW, right?
[13:04] <Chumbucket> yea
[13:04] <Lax> Chumbucket: do you know how to check your DPI/font scaling settings in Windows?
[13:04] <Chumbucket> 10 accounts
[13:04] <Chumbucket> no
[13:04] <Lax> sec, let me find it
[13:05] <Lax> go to the Search box (mouse to upper right corner, click the magnifying glass) and type in DPI
[13:06] <Lax> then click the Settings category which for me has 3 results for this
[13:06] <Lax> the one you want is the text one
[13:06] <Lax> i have a feeling that it's set higher than 100%, and that this might be related to the bug
[13:07] <Chumbucket> yea its 150
[13:07] <Lax> ok
[13:07] <Lax> set that to 100, re-launch your team, and see if the behavior is fixed
[13:07] <Chumbucket> kk
[13:07] <Lax> if that's it i can probably get this fixed soon :P
[13:08] <Chumbucket> nice
[13:09] <Chumbucket> yeah, you fixed it
[13:09] <Chumbucket> thanks man
[13:09] <Lax> cool, thanks for confirming
[13:10] <Lax> i will take care of the bug as soon as i can
[13:10] <Chumbucket> you really do rock
[13:10] <Lax> :)
