5man multiboxing questions (viability)

I haven't played WoW since early cataclysm days. I am going to activate my 7 day trials soon and see if I can get back into it for a little while.

In cataclysm I felt like 5man multiboxing had a pretty hard entry requirement. I never got over the barrier because I never took the time to gear up my tank.

Does mists bring any ease of access for 5-boxers? I haven't been following WoW, so I'm not familiar with anything going on in mists. Just wondering how easy/hard 5mans are for multiboxing this time around.


On that note are there any big changes that effect multiboxers in general? Anything we can do that we couldn't before or vice verse?

The instances are a lot easier, from what I've heard.

Cataclysm was hard in instances, in that you had to have mobility on the team.
Be able to move specific characters away from things.

Mists is much more like the Wrath of the Lich King era.

So from an instance point of view, things will be easier.
I'm not sure if you PvP or not, but at the moment there is an issue with a bot script thing, that looks similar to having a boxer's slaves on follow... long story short, boxers who are not AFK are getting lots of 3 hour suspensions from battlegrounds.

A lot of the fall-through macros have broken.
Meaning, the way you macro your DPS is a little different.
Khatovar has a large sticky, for every class in the macro forum on www.dual-boxing.com

I'll have to remake all of my macros since I no longer have my old setups so that is good to know
