Chaos in bg

My first post in the right forum..

I don't have anymore problem with the game client who close. It was coming from my Belkin.

My problem is when i go in bg.. my keys are chaos.


Auto-follow stop working on some toons and not others.
I have to switch window to take a toon to use auto follow.

The broadcast mouse and keybord is a probleme after a while...
I have try to make it simple by using only one key.
In my repeater profile > Default > Hotkeys > All windows - I only use "Toggle Keyboard+Mouse Repeating" with this keystroke : ":" .
All the others are blank.

But in bg, when i stroke this key ":", sometime it works and sometime nothing happens.
I have to switch windows sometime 4 or 5 times to make it works again.

I use an old keyboard and mouse.. and i don't know if there is really nothing wrong with them after all this.


If you could just look into my profile, and tell me if it looks in order to you.

Are you using /focus by chance?
The problem appears to be with WoW in that focus gets lost in PvP combat when some AoE spells are cast by the enemy. Even if focus appears to be set, /follow and /assist won't work after certain AoE spells hit some characters. I've reported this several times to Blizzard but it has not yet been fixed. To get around it, what I do is use my Logitech G19 keyboard keys to set focus and do the follow for me. If my primary focus is dead or been pulled some where I don't want to go, I use a different G19 key to set and move my characters to another focus. If you don't have a Logitech keyboard, you'll need to set your focus through some other means such as a separate hotkey page.

I use multiple computers and I have similar problems after awhile in that it appears the keyboard is screwed up with a different set of keypresses depending on what is pressed. This looks like a Windows problem that has been around in Windows 7 for awhile. I've seen it with different games and different multiboxing software. It's as if the keyboard got switched to a different language setting or something. The only way I've been able to correct it is by mousing over to each computer and moving to the main Windows bar and using Shift Left click, Shift Right click, Ctrl Left click, Ctrl Right click, Alt Left click, Alt Right click. It takes awhile to correct it and in the middle of a PvP battle, this will not be good. I've not been able to stop Windows from doing that. Seems as though it should not allow some keystrokes to change the way the keyboard behaves. I've seen this problem happen on different desktop systems and laptop systems so it's not tied to a specific brand of computer either. The only thing common is Windows 7 and it only happens when a lot of keys are being pressed at once to several different computers.

Once a toon engages in melee combat... that will break follow every time.
If you have a Hunter toon, and the mob closes to melee range, the Hunter will start to melee instead of shoot, and that breaks follow too.



If your main character is crowd controlled, the clients will not be able to read what the main is targeting.
You can get around that very easily, by switching to any other character.

The FTL Assist, will then assist the new/active character.
Sometimes, after a CC effect has ended on the main toon you need to switch to any toon and then back to the main, for assist to work properly.



Given this is the IS Boxer forum, I would hope the original poster is not using Focus as their assist.
Just putting keys on 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, etc... will result in auto assisting, without the need for in-game assist commands.
