Loot macro and the Needy achievement
Does anyone know of a way to code a loot macro that makes one of the slaves Need roll and have all other characters Pass? This is only to accomplish the Needy achievement on one of the slaves. Here is what I have tried so far, with the results:
I haven't tried to use an addon to do this yet because I am trying to not load an addon for every little thing that needs to be done. The amount of 3rd party code that this game takes to run effectively is already ridiculous. It would be great if this kind of functionality could be added to Jamba though, since it must be loaded anyway. The only thing Jamba lets me do is make the slaves pass, does not work in this case. If have to use something like PassLoot then I will--but throwing a macro into an ISBoxer keymap would be much easier imo.
- Scripting RollOnLoot - obtained from the post need/greed rolling macro?. Does nothing.
- Clicking GroupLootFramexyyyyButton (where x = the frame number and yyyy = the button you want to click in the frame) - obtained from post Macro to Greed and Confirm loot rolls. Works partially. It works on all the Pass characters to make them Pass just fine (they get a UI error once per session which is tolerable), but on my Need character it causes the window to reload every time I hit it, which is not.
- Macro I use on the Pass chars: This causes them to pass on up to four loot windows, which is fine for farming dungeons.
- Macro I use on the Need char: This causes the window to reload just like using "/reload" does.
Interestingly, I can't find evidence that a Need version exists, which is odd because Pass and Greed versions do. Why implement some and not all options? I can't think of the point.
