Problem resetting a step

Hello, I am working on a rotation for my demonology warlock. The rotation at the moment seem to work fine besides the curse of Doom.

I have setup something like this:

Code:
Spam Key = 1
Do Mapped Key A
Do Mapped Key B
Do Mapped Key C
Do Mapped Key D

Mapped Key A
Step 1: (during 6 seconds) /castsequence [nostance] reset=4/target Corruption, Null
Step 2: Do Not Advance for 14 Seconds.
Mapped Key B
Step 1: (during 10 seconds) /castsequence [stance:1] reset=10/target Doom, Null
Step 2: Do Not Advance for 26 Seconds.
Mapped Key C
Step 1: (during 5 seconds) /castsequence [nostance] reset=2/Hand of Gul'dan, Null
Step 2: Do Not Advance for 7 Seconds.
Mapped Key D
Step 1: /cast shadow bolt
Mapped Key E
Step 1: /cast cooldowns
reset mapped key B to step 1

as you can see when I hit my cooldowns key, I reset the curse of Doom do key because is when I know i will be in demon form.

The problem is that not always work seem a bit random.

Re: Problem resetting a step

The problem is that when you describe your configuration, your description is almost guaranteed not to include the bug. The only way to tell for sure is to have your configuration.

So, for example, something that isn't in your description is the Target for anything. Each Mapped Key has its own state in each game instance, so it might be on Step 1 in window 1 and Step 2 in window 3. I don't know which windows you're advancing it on, and which windows you're resetting it on, but my guess is that it seems random because you happen to be resetting it in a different window than you're activating that Mapped Key in. It "randomly" works when those are the same window. ;)

Re: Problem resetting a step

hello,

hmm by window you mean game window I suppose.

To do those tests I made a character set with just my warlock in it, and the target on all the events is current.
Once on one window and one character works, I will move to the others one by one, and then via virtual combat the whole team.

I am pasting also the bit of configuration that triggers this: http://privatepaste.com/d045d87de5

Thanks again :)

Re: Problem resetting a step

I didn't really want to look at the pretty XML, I wanted to paste it into ISBoxer. When you chop it up manually that makes doing so more difficult, plus we have to assume that the problem really lies entirely within what you chose to paste.

I see that "Cooldowns" under "Warlock Demonology" has a Mapped Key Step Action in it to alter the current Step to 1, in the current window. That part seems fine.

Re: Problem resetting a step

Okay, so we're talking about "Immunity solo test" Character Set for this thread, right?

This Character Set has Combat Hotkeys permanently active, and FTL DPS Keys starts inactive but turns on if you turn Key Maps off and then on. So you might get "random" (totally not random, just unexpected) behavior by toggling Key Maps and then pressing any of the keys that happen to be bound in FTL DPS Keys. To stop that from happening, you would want to use a Key Map Black list for the "Immunity solo test" Character Set.

Beyond that I don't see anything obvious. I would probably suggest using the in-game ISBoxer Console's debug tab; check the "Button" box and click "Show debugging console" then press your key and see what buttons ISBoxer says it's sending.

Re: Problem resetting a step

The debug console worked like a charm, I noticed that when I was clicking my cd's key no buttons were popping out in the console, then I realized that on the keymap I have set the number 8, which points to the character 'O'.

I was making the mistake to push the 'O' directly instead of the '8' , I did not notice because the CD's were popping. Once I started use the number 8, everything was worked as it was setup.

Sometimes we look at the most complicated settings and we dont see that the error is in front ouf our face :P . At least now I learned how to make a good use of the debugging console ;)

Thank you very much for the support , ISBoxer really rock! :D
