Re: Help with Interact with Target
So, in reading this thread, I think I figured something out, but want to confirm...
I've been playing around with ISBoxer for a couple days now and am starting to feel more comfortable with the mechanics. I have a mixed team (druid tank, 2 ret pallys, enh shaman and holy priest). Lax helped me the other day with getting the priest out of the group, to not follow or interact with target so he could just heal... The Jamba strobing was throwing me off because its nice for melee, but sucks for a healer that needs to stand still.
For my melee. I have a single dps key (using click macros in game right now, eventually will start to move them over to ISBoxer). I was having an issue where one melee or both might run off after a fight concluded and run into another group of mobs. Its actually pretty funny to see, but very frustrating...
What I did yesterday was a 3 step on that keybind (its the numpad5 key). There are no pauses between steps, which I think means that they fire off at the same time in step order.
Step one (which is probably unecessary) - assist me (tank)
Step two - interact with target
Step three - follow me (tank)
My thinking was that I would make sure that the slaves were on my tank's target, interact with that target, then not run off, but jump back on the tank, rinse and repeat..
What I want is for the slaves to stick on tank's target and then switch when the tank does.. I turned strobing off, so that isn't an issue
This thread indicates that I might be able to get them to stop interacting (thus not running off) and then assisting my tank on what he is currently hitting (change step 3 to stop interacting [thus they pause for half a second] and then assisting tank and interacting with tank target again).
I love the repeater regions which makes having a healer around and using heal bot pretty cool. I want to next start working on understanding and incorporating click regions in there... But first things first.. the dps keybind so everyone stays together and kills target dead without running in different directions)...
