Corsair K95 Issues

Hey Guys, (Lax)

I have a K95 White LED, not a RGB and while I enter edit input devices it tells me I have my G600 plugged in but for the keyboard it only shows Hid Interface (5 input) device which has volume and play buttons (the upper right hand corner of the keyboard (volume scroll, play pause stop etc.))

Is there a difference between the drivers of the RGB and White LED versions of the keyboard that make this not work? Ie. Emulation only for white LED?

Is there anything i can do to get this to work or am I out of luck?

Thanks

Also, I did use your tools to check to see if it is emulation based and it is. No response with the button testers :/ Am I out of luck or could i hack up a K95 RGB driver and make it work for the White LED?

Re: Corsair K95 Issues

I admit I know nothing about your technical expertise but generally speaking I don't think the chances of that happening are very high. I believe the K95 RGB is a newer model and technically different than the original K95 (White), and the problem may specifically be related to the firmware on the device.

When I got the K95 RGB, it wouldn't work at first. Not until I installed the Corsair software and allowed it to update the firmware on the keyboard. Afterward, the buttons were correctly identified by Lavish.ButtonTester.exe.

That's about all I can say without also having a K95 white :) Is the code for it in the button tester exe listed as 1B1C-1B08? The K95 RGB is 1B1C-1B11

6 input devices attached

It is indeed, although, NONE of the buttons work other than the 5 keys for multimedia control. which is weird, because clearly it sees it, several times...

One thing I am curious about is, Now that I went in and re-did my G-keys on my keyboard, I was previously using them in WoW without an issue, Now with ISboxer running, they do not work at all. i assume this is due to the Lavish issues with it being supported? or...???

Thanks for your help and product Lax :)

From the data it sees 1 section of your keyboard, probably just the media interface.

Here's the same information from the RGB model:
(1B1C-1B11 0x1,0xC) Corsair K95 RGB Gaming Keyboard : attached
(1B1C-1B11 0x1,0xFFC0) Corsair K95 RGB Gaming Keyboard : attached
(1B1C-1B11 0x2,0xFFC2) Corsair K95 RGB Gaming Keyboard : attached

Here it has the media interface, but also 2 others, with one of them supporting the G and M-keys.

You need to run the Corsair software as Administrator for it to work, because ISBoxer is running the game as Administrator. FAQ: Why are my custom keyboard/mouse buttons not working?

Re: Corsair K95 Issues

I ran the reinstall as admin then launched as admin and there is no change.

Im sending it in for an RMA (due to bad LED's) and I will probably just end up buying a new RGB k95 to get it to work.

Thanks for your help though lax.

Re: Corsair K95 Issues

just got my RGB today plugged it in and worked immediately.

stench, might I suggest, if you have any unlit LED's on your K95 and it is within its 2 years (which it has only been out for a year so everyone's k95 should still be under warranty).
Also, it would be worth knowing if you have a 20's series or an 80 series as they could be different. the CH-9000020-NA vs the CH-9000081-NA The CH-9000020 was the very first version of the K95 released then when they dropped the RGB they changed Product numbers to 81, which might represent a hardware/firmware change to be in line with that of the K95 RGB.
