Re: Request Native Support for Logitech G510 Keyboard

I ran it as administrator, when i press the G keys it just activate the skills on my main window (tank) and completely ignore my rune keeper windows even though i specified it to only to activate the hotkeys on the all w/o current windows (should just activate skills in rune keepers windows) in isboxer suite. Whats wrong now? Do i have to wait until native support is added for the G510 before i can box? Appreciate the help.

Edit: I tested my configurations with the normal default keyboard keys (a-z, 1-9 etc) and no problems detected. Can we please get an estimate when you'll add native support? Sorry for being impatient.

It sounds like what's wrong now is whatever is being sent to the game by your keyboard is not being interpreted by ISBoxer as a Hotkey, so no broadcasting would be done. I would need more information about your configuration in order to tell you how to fix your ISBoxer hotkeys. There's a permanent sticky that details how to share your ISBoxer configuration for me to read it, and then I need to know what you have your G-keys configured to press.

Re: Request Native Support for Logitech G510 Keyboard

I already have the button data from the G510.

What I need is your ISBoxer configuration, to see what 4,1,2,3,5,ctrl+4,ctrl+3,alt+3,ctrl+2,ctrl+1 etc are configured to do in ISBoxer. The sticky I was referring to is "How to share your configuration for better support".

I can guess based on your description of how you've assigned the buttons in the Logitech software. By default, with Key Maps enabled, 4,1,2,3,5 will broadcast and auto-assist (1 through =). Ctrl+4, ctrl+3, alt+3, ctrl+2, etc will not. If you want those to have the same functionality, see http://isboxer.com/wiki/WoW:Quick_Start_Guide#Quickly_add_many_hotkeys.2C_optionally_with_auto-assist

Sorry didn't know what you really meant. My character names and accounts names are hidden, i hope this information is good enough now? Thanks for help in advance.

Edit: I tested Ctrl+1 on a normal key (z) and the combination worked, not sure what you mean when you say ctrl+1-5, alt+1-5 etc won't work?

Re: Request Native Support for Logitech G510 Keyboard

My bad you're playing LOTRO not WoW, hence the link to the WoW quick start guide as opposed to the non-WoW one.

If Ctrl+1 works when you press it manually, Ctrl+1 from the Logitech profiler should do exactly the same thing.

From your config I see that your RK DPS and RK Heal key maps have a bunch of G510-G__ hotkeys configured and so none of those are going to activate. The one that CAN activate is fiery ridicule, since you've hotkeyed it to Z. There's nothing in your ISBoxer config set up for Ctrl+1, Ctrl+2, etc, so ISBoxer is not going to do anything in response unless you have Key Repeat enabled (1 to 1 broadcasting, usually you want that off). It's just going to press Ctrl+1 in the current window as if you ran the game normally.

The key maps you've got configured should work fine, you just need to change the Hotkeys to not be G510-G1 and so on, because the native support is not working. Use the key combo you assigned to G1 instead, so when you press G1, it sends 4 to the window, ISBoxer picks that up as a Hotkey, and can follow the instructions in the appropriate Mapped Key.

Re: Request Native Support for Logitech G510 Keyboard

I kind of knew i could use keymaps without using the G keys but i wanted to confirm if the G keys were working or not, guess i brought this keyboard for no reason now then because i wanted to use the G keys  Lax i just hope you'll add native support soon in time for christmas, as a christmas present .

Re: Request Native Support for Logitech G510 Keyboard

... I don't think you're following me, which pretty much sums up our entire conversation. You can use the G-keys.

1. You told me that you configured the G1 key to press 4. It could send Ctrl+shift+alt+4 or ctrl+shift+alt+q or really whatever you want, but you told me you configured it to press 4.

2. Based on you setting G1 to press 4, you can use 4 as a Hotkey in ISBoxer to do whatever you want. Including broadcast 4 or broadcast 8 or broadcast ctrl+shift+alt+q, and so on.

3. But if you set your G1 key to send 4, you're just making a copy of the 4 key. You've got 2 buttons that do precisely the same thing, one is the 4 key and one is the G1 key.

4. Here is typically what one might do: Set G1 to press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Q. Then Set up Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Q in ISBoxer as a Hotkey for something. Like a mapped key that broadcasts 4.
In this way, the G1 key is no longer a direct copy of any other key on the keyboard.

5. There is no practical difference between having G1 set to press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+Q which is then set in ISBoxer to do something else, and having G1 set in the Hotkey box. All it does is save you the time of setting up oddball key combos for each of the G-keys.
