Hey there and happy new year.

I am looking for some advice on CPU and Ram to match my Gigabyte 1080TI 11GB. I want to get the most out of the card and try to run as many accounts as possible in World of Warcraft.

I am not looking to change the mainboard.

I have a Asrock Z370 Pro4 with 16GB DDR4 4000MHZ ram and an I5-8600K with 6 cores

Mainboard specs
Supports 8th Generation Intel® Core™ Processors (Socket 1151)
Supports DDR4 4266+(OC)
2 PCIe 3.0 x16, 3 PCIe 3.0 x1, 1 PCI, 1 M.2 Socket (Key E)
AMD Quad CrossFireX™
Graphics Output Options: HDMI, DVI-D, D-Sub, supports Triple Monitor
7.1 CH HD Audio (Realtek ALC892 Audio Codec), ELNA Audio Caps
6 SATA3, 2 Ultra M.2 (PCIe Gen3 x4 & SATA3)
8 USB 3.1 Gen1 (1 Type-C, 2 Front, 5 Rear)
Intel® Gigabit LAN
Intel® Optane™ Memory Ready

Thank you in advance,
Mikk

You could get an i7 9700 or i9 9900. Depending on whether you are interested in overclocking or not will determine the letter after those numbers.
You could also drop in 32GB ram.

Between the two, you should easily be able to run 10 - 15, without too much trouble. Possibly more depending on what eye candy you like, although the usualy budget of 2-3-GB Ram per game client will possibly limit you here.

Thanks a lot :)

What if I put in 64gb of ram? Is that overkill for the graphics card and CPU?

And how much does ram speed matter? 3200MHZ or 3600MHZ?
