Just ran face-first into this problem minutes after restarting my subscription for two years. Tried renaming the EXE, playing around with the various mouse settings in the client management app, etc. So far, no luck.

Next step is to try and triage by setting up keyboard camera control for X-axis.

I know this is an old issue, but want to leave a more detailed description than what I have seen elsewhere in the thread.

The issue appears to be mouse movement in the X-axis while holding down a mouse button. Without any buttons pressed, mouse movement is normal in all directions. With any mouse button pressed, Y-axis is normal and X-axis appears to studder at best and momentarily freeze at worst.
