New issue - Lag in switching between characters in LOTRO

I launched ISBoxer yesterday and it prompted me to install the new version - 37. I am not sure what else was installed in the process but I am now getting a very annoying lag when switching between my two characters. It was lightning fast before this. The frame rates also briefly dropped below 5 FPS before recovering. The InnerSpace build is 1.11(Build 5326).

I tried doing the test patch and it didn't make a difference except that a square portion of the lower right screen flashes in the upper left screen during the switch. I am running LOTRO in DX9 (nVidia GTX 285) and InnerSpace is set to 'Always Patch at startup'.

Removed the original files from install directory and reinstall InnerSpace(not the test patch) and IsBoxer and got it to work as before.

Just installed a new Radeon 5870 card for DX11 and the test patch is not working for me yet. Posted the issue in the DX11 thread under Announcements. Hope to get some help for that.

You can use DirectX9 mode with IS build 5318 if you want and not have the lag issue: http://www.lavishsoft.com/account/is-archives.php (instructions and download on that page)

Are you still running Windows XP? The last post you mentioned your OS in you were using XP, but DirectX11 doesn't work on Windows XP. I've heard of the switching lag from another Windows XP user (but only a couple people have reported this issue)

I'm trying to work on issues related to yours and I am unable to duplicate either of them on Windows 7. I'm running an i7 with an ATI 5870 on Windows 7 x64.

I am running on Windows 7 64-bit. After uninstalling and installing latest/older versions of InnerSpace/IsBoxer a couple of times, I figured out the cause for the lag behavior when switching between chars, at least in my case. In DX9, using InnerSpace's latest release patch or the development patch, everything runs fine. If I upgrade to IsBoxer 35, that's when I get the lag problem.

I am now in working order using Build 5326 and IsBoxer 34, still on DX9. The development batch also works without any lag; however, the Windows task bar briefly flashed on my screen when switching between characters, so I have to auto-hide it if I will to use it.

I look forward to running in DX11 upon further development of InnerSpace. That's the reason I bought the new Radeon 5870 card when I read that it works with LOTRO.
