Petition of a new ISBoxer feature

For people like me that does not have a static multiboxing team (have lots of alts) and want to combine them with totally freedom without depending or static character sets, would be interesting something like a character selection launcher.

For example have your characters like it is now there, and an option that was Add personalized team. And there you have a list were you can drag the characters you want to launch, including from which pc you want them to be launched.

Maybe for ISBoxer 42?

I actually suggested something like this years ago when Lax began talking about the next generation of software; but with the introduction of the Pro Configuration System in ISBoxer, you can pretty much achieve this already by just dragging and dropping Characters to a 'universal' Character Set whenever you want and then launching or re-exporting.

Yes that is the setup that I am working on, I have now almost all my classes set.

But still is not completely optimal. You must add or remove slots manually to that generic character set and change the layout if the number of lots also change. Also does not help when you mix 2 or more PC's to launch the characters.

This new feature actually what would do is when you hit "launch" create hidden character set for each PC with the combination of characters that you have chosen. All using the tools that the software already have, but automatically

This would require a pretty significant departure from the way ISBoxer is currently designed. For this reason it is not planned as a feature in ISBoxer, but is definitely one of the goals for the next generation.

On that note, the time table for the next generation is a lot like Blizzard's releases: "Soon (TM)".

For the moment I am really really happy with ISBoxer, it is awesome and the best, miles ahead from other similar software.
