Integrated tunneling service?

Hey,

Have you considered including a native tunneling service with ISBoxer as a paid extra? Most of the tunneling services out there charge around $4-5 per month. Not sure how many non-US subscribers you have, but it'd be a good way to boost your income while adding another feature.

Could maybe do a poll asking how many people would be interested in subscribing to see if it'd be worth the cost/effort (though I don't know what percentage of your subscribers frequent the forum)?

Cheers!

Re: Integrated tunneling service?

I specifically brought this up with Blizzard a few years ago, with regards to services like lowerping and smoothping which some people use to get a faster route to WoW. They advised against integrating this capability into Inner Space.

On the other hand, it is entirely possible for a tunneling service to provide Inner Space support via an extension.

I've tried 5 difference services and they all require WoW to be launched through their client. Is there any way to configure ISBoxer to treat their client like it does launchers in games like Rift, etc?

I remember reading something on your forum a couple years ago about using proxycap or a similar program to get it to work, but I never managed to figure that out.

Wonder why Blizzard advised you not to? They've never had a problem with tunneling services that I've heard of. Tunneling is pretty much a requirement for people that play on "Oceanic" shards.

I am sure the typical client is just a SOCKS5 proxy client, and they probably provide information for using your own.

They want to make sure you are who you say you are, and that's harder to do when you're masking the source of your traffic.
