Returning player, WoW retail not loading, but classic does

Hello all! I have been using ISBoxer for some time now. I took a month break and came back and I am experiencing an issue.

I can't get retail to load. I have changed nothing in the settings, it just spins and after a few moments the console reads:

Successfully executed '"E:\World of Warcraft\_retail_\wow.exe" -d3d11legacy'.
Script 'isboxer' already running
RunScript 'isboxer' failed

It's not already running. I have exited the program and restarted computer. It just spins and then stops.

Again, this worked fine for many months and I changed NOTHING. Classic is working fine and all paths are pointed to the correct launcher (3 teams, 2 classic, 1 retail). All of these teams were working a month ago when I took a break.

I am not sure how to do a diag.

I let it go even longer this time.

Successfully executed '"E:\World of Warcraft\_retail_\wow.exe" -d3d11legacy'.
| 19:27:05 ISBoxer: Character from Set 'Ravenholdt' not fully launched after 3 minutes.
Select again to continue launching additional slots.
| 19:27:05 ISBoxer: Instructions completed.

Re: Returning player, WoW retail not loading, but classic does

Update:

I have figured out how to do a diagnostic with game running (really easy, no idea why I didn't know how to do that).

Not sure what I am reading though.

I have uninstalled ISboxer and reinstalled. I have checked the wow.exe path and manually started the game (it worked).

I cannot figure out why it is not opening the game though.

I am using build 6651.

I cannot figure this out. I can post my diag result, but would like to know which section to post (it is 18 pages long).

WoW Classic is still working fine. It is just retail.

EDIT:

If I change the path to launcher, it does start. I "added" a game to see if there is a path issue, but it still does the same thing. I keep thinking it is a path issue, but it shows the right info.

E Drive, WoW, retail, exe. That is where it is located.

I have tried all options (client, 11 legacy (my usual), 11, 12) and none will launch the game through inner space.

Re: Returning player, WoW retail not loading, but classic does

There is probably something not right in either the wtf files, or some other application conflicting. For the former, then it is possibly this
discord pins wrote:A known issue occurs when using WIndowed mode. You need the games to be in Windowed Fullscreen mode. You also need the game to not specify a Windowed resolution. There are settings in the CONFIG-CHARNAME.WTF files that need to be checked.
SET gxMaximize "1"

The other is SET gxWindowResolution this one needs to be REMOVED from the files. If you have the Latest Update to the ISBoxer toolkit, it will ask you if it can FIX this one when you export your profile. The correct answer is YES. The gxMaximize you may need to check yourself if it is not already there, or not set to 1.

For the application conflicts, post your diags. 18 pages seems long, although if you put it in Word or something, that is possible.

Re: Returning player, WoW retail not loading, but classic does

Thank you for the response. I did check the SET, it shows "1" and the other line is NOT present.

I did post the diag to word. It follows (I did this when WoW was running in normal mode and retail):

On a different note: I did install a private WoW server and played that for about 1 week (uninstalled now). Maybe a steam game or 2.

Re: Returning player, WoW retail not loading, but classic does

I got it to work. I uninstalled several programs (Skype, Microsoft OneDrive, Xbox Game companion?, etc, etc). I also stopped some programs from startup (big one was Razer Game Center). I restarted computer and it worked.

Not sure what I did to cause it though. But they are working!
