Compatibility with DisplayFusion
A few days ago I built a new PC and after testing the overclock for stability I started to install my standard applications and EQ2 to validate the setup. While EQ2 would start fine on its own, it wouldn't run when started by IS, via my ISBoxer config (got a crash with 0xc0000005 error).
At first I thought the culprit was Win 8.1 (old machine is 7) and I tried to get some help on IRC and googled every combination of keywords for someone with the same problems. After two days, comparing the settings of my 'default' programs, I found that on the old machine I had set compatibility flags for IS and EQ2 in DisplayFusion. In detail the flags are:
I'm not actively using the new rig yet, but after several reboots it still looks like that solved the IS crash.
I searched the wiki and the forums and couldn't find anything regarding ISBoxer DisplayFusion, so I thought I'd post this as a heads-up should somebody else encounter this situation. In all honesty, at least I will find it when it is time for the next new machine in a few years.
