Auto Assist

Hi,

I'm new to this site and multiboxing.

I generally don't use the number row for keybinding, generally use letters, managed to rebind and get the keybinds broadcasting to other windows, but lost the automatic auto assist function. Is there anyway to set auto assist to my rebound keybinds instead of constantly pressing alt-a.

Thanks.

Re: Auto Assist

If using the mapped key wizard then you can choose assist and broadcast. You can try it once to see how it sets up the mapped key.

To do it manually, first make sure the mapped key is set to "press and release", that means step 1 actions are sent on key-down, and step 2 actions are sent on key up. So in step 1 your action should be Do Mapped Key action -> Auto Assist Me. And in step 2 whatever key(s) you want broadcast.

Also make sure that Backspace isn't bound in game, because that's the button that ISBoxer uses by default for its auto assist macro.

That only applies to the default WoW setup for ISBoxer. Game hasn't been mentioned yet.

This actually depends on the game.
If you are configuring them by hand, then a single step, with a Do Mapped Key Action, calling the "ISB42 - Party -> Assist Me - Active Method" mapped key, as the first action, prior to any keystroke actions, should be enough for most games, including the assumed WoW. You only really need to get into the multi-step and press or release setup for games that are slow at processing and/or have odd quirks with modifier keys (yes, we're looking at you FFXIV).
