Recent Problems

I've used isboxer for over a year playing EQ 1 with no problems. I launch it today and notice none of my character sets are anywhere to be found nor anything else. It looks like a fresh install. I close and reopen Innerspace and it says: Innerspace.XML could not be parsed. Click Yes to delete it and start fresh. (Which I did - twice)

I then click on isBoxer and I get this:
System.InvalidOperationException: There is an error in XML document (3,2), --->
System.InvalidOperationException: <InnerSpaceSettings xmlns="> was not expected.
at
Microsoft.Xml.Serialization.GeneratedAssembly.XmlSerializationReaderISBoxerToolkitProfile.Read142_ISBoxerToolkitProfile()
--- End of inner exception stack trace ---
at System.Xml.Serialization.XmlSerializer.Deserialize(XmlReader xmlReader, String encodingStyle, XmlDeserializationEvents events

etc, etc, etc.

What do I need to do?

Thanks

Re: Recent Problems

First, exit/close innerspace, and delete Innerspace.xml.
<edit> Also, close/exit ISBoxer.
Then, launch Inner Space.
Then, open ISBoxer.
Assuming your character set is still missing, you'll want to load the last exported XML.

Re: Recent Problems

Sounds bizzare, although odd things have been known to happen. Especially certain antivirus software.

After doign what Val said, try a fresh installation (i.e. install ISboxer/InnerSpace over the top from the Download on ISboxer.com - this will not remove your previous profile, but you could backup the InnerSpace folder first to be sure). If that does not correct the issue, then you may need to look into whether your antivirus is blocking the InnerSpace.exe process or doing something else (it has been known to block .NET and the assembly generation). It is possible you have some other program which is causing an issue, or even Windows has set some application compatibility settings that you didn't want.

To test your antivirus, the easiest (and best) way to test this is to uninstall it temporarily (if you are using Windows Defender then it is not likely to be this).
To check for application compatibility settings, or other potential conflicts, then get a diagnostic. If you are not sure what you are looking for, paste it to pastebin.com (or similar) as the wiki says, and link it back, or post it here.
