[Suggestion] Delayed Key Maps

Hello,

When playing older games it's sometimes extremely difficult and button-consuming to be able to play the characters as well as modern games with proper targeting keystrokes, etc.

I would be very beneficial to have the ability to add a mapped key to an action list and force a half second delay before it activates. Not much. The half second is literally to account for network lag, and that is it. In fact it probably won't be enough for some locations, but for most people it's all we need.

For example.

Actions:
  • Send Key: Esc
  • Send Keys: /assist
  • Delay: 500ms
  • Send Keys: /cast spell

Re: [Suggestion] Delayed Key Maps

Unless /pause or /wait is built into the game, it ain't gonna happen.

Re: [Suggestion] Delayed Key Maps

I knew there was a post on this from before.. viewtopic.php?p=26290#p26290

ISBoxer does have timers and delays, but only on items WITHIN ISBOXER and your active ISBoxer configuration, and not where it involves sending keystrokes to the game.

For game input, it is a manual process, i.e. you MUST use a Human Interface Device (HID) to trigger something in order to get ISBoxer to output to a game. It can however, take advantage of the potential delays in your ISBoxer configuration. There are a few ways of doing it.

Option 1:
Mapped Key (Hotkey), configure as "Execute a Step on : pressed OR released"
Step 1 (executes on press)
Actions:
•Send Key: Esc
•Send Keys: /assist
--- some undetermined delay while you hold the key down - usually around 200ms or so because that is most peoples reaction time but you can make it longer by holding the key down for longer ---
Step 2 (executes when you take your finger off the key, i.e. release it)
Actions:
•Send Keys: /cast spell

Option 2:
Mapped Key (Hotkey), configure as "Execute a Step on : released" (you could use pressed too)
Step 1
Set Step Options to "Do not advance to the next step for at least 0.5 seconds AND only trigger once
Actions:
•Send Key: Esc
•Send Keys: /assist
Step 2
Set Step Options to "Do not advance to the next step for at least 0.1 seconds AND only trigger once
Actions:
•Send Keys: /cast spell
•PopUp, "Spell Cast"

This one means you spam the key a few times until you get the popup.

There are other ways too, which generally involve you spamming the hotkey, and the delay is within ISBoxer disabling and enabling its internal configuration.
