[Help] Game that requires launcher + using VMware

Hey there! first of all thanks for looking into my thread.

I have a complicated problem and i need help solving my issues.

the game i'm playing is called "Path of exille"

here are my problems:

1. the game requires you to login into this "messaging" application first before you can launch the game.

2. you are not allowed to launch 2 copy of the game as it checks for the same game running instance.

3. i solved problem number (2) by running VMware so i could launch 2 different "messaging application" to launch 2 Path of Exiles on 2 different platforms, one on each machine ( main machine and VMware ) but when i tried to launch my character sets it doesnt allow me to simply launch the game client "Path of Exile.exe" due to "no login token specified". Because i believe i have to be LOGGED INTO the messaging application in order to launch the game.

now here are my own solution/questions but i dont know how to go about doing it:

a. i just want to broadcast keystrokes/mouse actions in game [b]without ISBoxer launching the game for me[/b] so i could avoid the "No Login Token Specified" problem overall, is that possible and how do i go about doing it?

b. is it possible to broadcast/"mimick" the actions on my main computer and send it to my 2nd machine on VMware?

help out a confuse noob here please..any replies will be very very very appreciated!

have a nice day ahead and cheeeeeeeeeeeers!

I'm confused as to why you wouldn't just setup ISBoxer for a multi-machine configuration for each VM you want to run, and then have it broadcast keystrokes between machines?

I guess I don't fully understand the issue with the token problem you mention. But, if ISBoxer isn't an option at all, with some effort you could get broadcast functionality running just InnerSphere by writing the raw scripting yourself. There was a time, before ISBoxer was developed, in the early days of software multi-boxing that I did some of that for myself, so I know it is (or at least used to be) possible.

You would be a candidate for Multi-Computer Configuration as the PP alluded to.

Hey thanks for replying.

i DID setup ISBoxer under multi-machine configuration but how do i start broadcasting keystrokes/mouse ? Do i always have to right click> and launch the character sets before i can broadcast keystrokes? its not working on my side here and i really dont understand why. Ive followed every guide available but nothing seem to be working..both my computers are able to communicate with each other and export settings too but when i hit keys in game it just doesnt broadcast...ctrl+shift+alt+g doesnt pop up the ingame isboxer window too..

any pointers please?

thanks alot!

Re: [Help] Game that requires launcher + using VMware

Yes; in order for ISBoxer and Innerspace to control your games you need to launch them in 1 of the 3 proscribed methods as noted in the Quick Start Guide

These methods are:
  1. Right click Inner Space in the system notification area and, in the ISBoxer Character Sets sub-menu, select your Character Set
  2. In the top left pane in ISBoxer, under Character Sets, right click your Character Set and select Launch
  3. To create a shortcut on your desktop to launch your team: In the top left pane in ISBoxer, under Character Sets, right click your Character Set and select Create desktop Launch shortcut

The Multi-Computer Setup in step 11 alludes to this:
Multi Computers wrote:11. Launch the Character Set on the main PC. When you do this, the other PCs should launch their Character Sets at the same time. Broadcasting will now work between the linked Character Sets.

This does mean use one of the three methods above.

Thanks for your replies Bob,

does broadcasting still works if i am unable to launch my game through the "launch character sets" method? as ive mentioned in my first post, i cant just simply "target" the game client.exe and launch it this way, if i do that i will get a "no login specified" error. However, i am able to target and launch the messaging application on BOTH pc but that doesnt launch the game..i have to manually launch the game itself by going through the application.

This way my games are not targeted by innerspace/ixboxer and only the messaging application are targeted. will broadcasting still work in game? ive rinse and repeated the steps so many times but nothing seems to be working  is there a way to see when ive sent a command from my main computer and it has been broadcasted to the others so i can know that broadcasting is working?

thanks for your time..really appreciate it

Re: [Help] Game that requires launcher + using VMware

Advice I've previously heard for unknown games, or ones with annoying processes like this is to rename the messaging application to "Launcher.exe" or "game launcher.exe" (feel free to replace "game" with what you like) or something along those lines. The expectation is that when Innerspace loads the messaging application (because you need to load that first as it is your launcher), then Innerspace will try and wait until the "launcher" spawns a second process and then try and control the second process.

YMMMV.
p.s. please remove line 3 of the OP so you aren't breaching the rules

Re: [Help] Game that requires launcher + using VMware

this should not be discussed here as any third party software including Isboxer is prohibited in POE

From the Rules post:

E) Contain references to illegal activity
For example: explicit drug references, discussion or the planning of real world criminal activity, discussion or the planning of prohibited in-game activity such as the use of real world trading or prohibited software.

Prohibited software means any sort of botting/multiboxing programs.

Don't do it.

^^ thats from the POE forums

I'm sorry, but that statement is from a user (a "supporter" whooptidoo) on the POE forums, NOT from GGG. You are incorrect about "any third party software including Isboxer" in POE; they cannot ban all third party software, no game can do this. (See http://isboxer.com/multiboxing/is-isboxer-allowed under But I've heard that "Third Party Software is not allowed!") POE's license terms can be found at http://www.pathofexile.com/legal/terms-of-use-and-privacy-policy. There is no prohibition of multiboxing software; however they may not like you using input broadcasting.

Thanks for trying to help though.
