Wow Accounts not remembering which account they are

My wow boxes keep having identity crises over what account they are supposed to be

It used to be that if this ever happened it was easily fixed by logging in on that slot, logging gently out, and then exiting the box. Now though I had them all fixed a couple of days ago yet they keep going off the rails.
Every time I launch my team (regardless of how the boxes were closed, I think) 2-3 of the boxes think they are the wrong account.

I have been getting the "character thinks it is the wrong account" error a lot when I export but saying "yes" doesn't fix it permanently, if at all.

Are the Characters in question using the same Virtual Files? This usually happens if you copy Characters and rename them, but don't change the Virtual File they're attached to.
