Re: site down?

Looked to me to be a DNS issue. I was able to resolve the IP off of a name server and browse to it that way. It is possible I caught it at the tail end but that's my guess.

Re: site down?

The sites come down at the same time because the web sites are on the same machine, which was basically hammered for about an hour. (Server, go home, you're drunk.)

We have more servers to handle the software licensing and such. However, since the main server wasn't actually down the software could still connect to it and give the "Successfully connected to Lavish Software, but failed to keep the connection alive after several attempts" message -- the backup processed connections fine. So I'll be updating that ASAP to make better use of the redundant servers.

I'm still investigating what was actually going on with the server. I may end up setting up an additional server alongside the current main one, and running web sites on separate VMs on it.
