Strange "Candle" pixels on screen when using ISBoxer...

I am having a strange problem 95% of the time when I use ISBoxer, I have included a picture where I circled the problem as it is kind of hard to describe...

Image

It WILL stay on the screen once I log in and no matter what I do it will not go away, and as I said before 5% of the time it doesn't show up at all and everything is great. I have tried turning on / vsync, same results. I know that my computer can handle the program / running 2+ clients at one time as I have done it before in the past, both with ISBoxer and other software. I am just wondering if there is a software problem or a setting I am missing somewhere. I searched the forums but didn't really know how to "describe" the problem so if it has been answered before sorry, I could use a link to the answer tho. :)

Any ideas ?

Re: Strange "Candle" pixels on screen when using ISBoxer...

This is the Formations Menu. Clicking on what you're describing as "Candles" will move your toons into a formation.

To make it not show up when you first launch your team, go into the top left pane under Character Sets and select yours. Then in the bottom left pane click on "Menus" and it will allow you to highlight the Menus that should be visible when you launch or re-load your team. "Standard" is the Action Bar overlay, "Toggles" is the Key Maps and Broadcasting Mode toggles buttons, and "Formations" is your "candles" ;)

By default, this is NOT enabled. You had to have added it to your team for this to happen. Normally you press Ctrl+Shift+Alt+F (default) to toggle the Formations Menu

Thank you, I knew there had to be an easy fix. :P

And yes I did, I was turning off the Standard "Green boxes" and thought the others needed to be on. :)

New Problem...

Sorry to be a pain, but I have a question about the action bar overlay / green boxes...

I find that if I disable the "standard" as you were saying the green boxes go away (which is what I want) BUT it doesn't broadcast my action bars then, which I assumed it wouldn't. So when I load the game I press SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+G to open the menu then click the "X" at the upper right corner of the overlay, then I press SHIFT+CTRL+ALT+G again. I do this for my slave windows as well, then go about playing my game as normal. However I have found I need to do this everytime I log in on both master and slave(s)... is there a way to make the "Green Boxes" stay away, but HAVE the action bars still broadcast. Without making a whitelist / blacklist ? AND if there isn't and I make a Whitelist / Blacklist and actually get it to work for me, what do I do when I run the wizard to create a new "team" to use that same Whitelist / Blacklist and not overwrite it... Sorry again that I am asking so many questions, but I really like it when it works, I just want to make it work the way I want it to. :P

Re: New Problem...

First of all, if you have a new problem, then open a new thread. Do not create your own personal mega-thread of 30 questions all pertaining to several different areas of ISBoxer. Someone who is searching the forum for answers to the same questions is unlikely going to page through a thread where its topic doesn't match the issue. You started off asking about strange pixels on the screen and now we're talking about the default broadcast Menu, as well as, whitelists and blacklists for the repeater.

If you completely remove the Menu from your Character Set then you need to tell ISBoxer to broadcast the keys that you want:

If you didn't want the Menu to begin with then there's an option in the Wizard, on the last step, where you choose whether you want to use them or not.

Any changes you make to the Menu in game need to be saved. So, after you're done closing down the visible Menus, save your changes as "Auto."

You shouldn't be creating a whitelist or blacklist of any sort because Repeater (Shift Alt R) should be off for normal gameplay. Set up what you want to broadcast to your windows via Key Maps and Mapped Keys:

Re: Strange "Candle" pixels on screen when using ISBoxer...

Sorry most forums I have used before frown on making multiple new topics back to back to back for every single problem, but now that I know that is OK on these forums, from now on that is the way I will do it. I really wasn't trying to be a pain about it, but I am thinking of purchasing the software, but if I can't figure it out there is no sense in me buying it.

But thank you for the quick reply and the help. :)
