ISBoxer Toolkit won't start

I'm a new trial user, trying to get isboxer going. I'm having some EVE-specific issues on my Windows 7 box for which I've got another thread open. While I was waiting for some insight on that issue, I tried installing ISBoxer on an older WinXP machine I've got down in the basement to see if I could get it working there. ISBoxer installed fine, and I can launch the auto-detected EVE client, but I can't start the ISBoxer toolkit application. It dies with the following error:

This application has failed to start because the application configuration is incorrect. Reinstalling the application may fix this problem.


When googling around for that error message, it appeared that it was related to a missing MSVC redistributable package. This machine has a few different versions installed already, but perhaps not the right one.



Any ideas?

1. Make sure Windows XP Service Pack 3 is installed
2. Install or re-install Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5 - http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/en/details.aspx?familyid=333325FD-AE52-4E35-B531-508D977D32A6&displaylang=en (http://isboxer.com/wiki/Supported_Operating_Systems#Windows_XP)

The machine is running XP SP3. I uninstalled .NET 3.5 SP1 and replaced it with the version of 3.5 from the link provided. There was no change to the Isboxer toolkit error.

That was the only known reason for failure on Windows XP. I don't really know what to suggest after that, sorry!

This issue is solved as of today; running the ISBoxer installer is sufficient to get it running on Windows XP again

Confirmed. Installing via the latest installer package fixes the issue.
