G13 Joystick, WoW and ISBoxer

Hi,

I've been using a Logitech G15 and a Razer Naga mouse to 5 box for awhile now. I saw a G13 on sale and thought "Hey I can try out the joystick functionality" and bought it. In other words I did things backwards...didn't check to make sure it'd do what I want first.

Is there any way to use the joystick on the G13 to control my 4 slaves movement? That was my intention in purchasing the G13...being able to move my slaves around. However, I'm at a loss as to how to go about it, and as a result, the G13 is just a replacement for my keyboard, without adding much functionality (just a few buttons I don't really need cuz of the Naga).

I figure worst case scenario maybe i can use the joystick to move my main, and the wasd config on the G13 to move my slaves. But that's pretty counterintuitive. I don't want this to be a waste of 60 bucks tho ... so how do other people use the G13's functionality to enhance their 5 boxing experience?

Thanks for any tips, insights.

(Incidentally my hope in getting around this was maybe being able to use joystick button as an alt modifier so when I held that button down with my thumb, I could use the WASD configuration to move the slaves about. But remapping the G23 joystick button to Alt doesn't work...have to hold down the Alt button on my keyboard for it to work...anything in that direction that would work?)

Re: G13 Joystick, WoW and ISBoxer

I have the G13 key. I use ctrl+shift+(arrow key) bind to the joystick button.

I have try it and it work.

The only problem I have experience is sometime after I move the slave chars using the joystick and it break follow. But it will auto follow again which I do not want to. I still haven't figure how to solve this problem yet.

Mapping it to a modifier won't modify it as far as ISBoxer hotkeys go, so if that's what you're getting at you should check out this guide http://isboxer.com/index.php/guides/43-using-any-button-as-modifier-key. If you want to use it as a modifier for ISBoxer hotkeys, that's the guide you want. If you're wanting to use in-game hotkeys, having it press Alt in the current window should work fine; just make sure Hold is enabled.

Disable Jamba Follow Strobing with Shift+Alt+F.

I forgot to log in and say thank you. The guide helped a lot with the underpinnings of what I wanted to do. In lieu of being able to just set up the joystick, I'll take the modifier key :) Works well.

This got me started in a whole new direction however. Haven't even used the G13 since I got this set up. Too busy playing with using modifier keys to do all kinds of fancy stuff.

This software is amazing. Seriously. Thanks for the work you put into it. The complexity of what I'm able to do today compared to what I used to do 3 boxing in Everquest all those years ago blows my mind and I'm still finding new tricks and ways to do things.
