InnerSpace + headset = BSOD

If I'm running InnerSpace, when I plug in my headset, I get a BSOD. What further information is needed to track down and solve this problem?

The BSOD will indicate the driver that is failing. You'll need to update that driver -- IS runs only in usermode, and usermode applications cannot cause a BSOD (that's reserved for kernel mode, i.e. the OS itself and drivers)
