Deleting a Game from InnerSpace

I accidentally put a bad title in the game name when adding Rift to InnerSpace. I want to remove it and re-add it, so it shows up correctly.

I opened the "Configuration" on the InnerSpace taskbar menu.
I selected Rift from the dropdown menu on the main "Game Configuration" tab
I clicked the "Remove Game" button
I pressed the "Apply" button then closed the Config application
I closed InnerSpace
I re-opened InnerSpace and it's still there

I even tried to find it in the InnerSpace folder with no luck. Please tell me you guys didn't program this with no way to remove games.

Re: Deleting a Game from InnerSpace

Inner Space includes game detections, and will automatically add various games if they are automatically detected. It does this when you launch Inner Space, which is why when you delete a game that gets auto-detected and is installed to its default location, and then close and restart Inner Space, it is there again.

If you're trying to re-add it manually, why are you shutting down Inner Space after removing the game?

I am restarting InnerSpace after I apply the change because it still shows in the program tray. I thought a restart would give the program a change to update changes, but it didn't. I tried to manually add the game again, then remove the bad one. It won't delete the original. This wasn't my preference, since I didn't know how InnerSpace would handle them.

If there is automatic game detection, why do I have to add it manually? If I have to add it manually, why do can't I remove it manually? This doesn't make sense. At least show me how to toggle off the automatic game detection long enough for me to remove the bad program. If I don't want InnerSpace looking at any of my programs, I should be able to tell it not to. I really dislike sniffing programs that refuse to cooperate.

Information about games is stored in GameConfiguration.XML in your InnerSpace directory. As always, back up any files you plan to edit manually.

? All you had to do was click Remove Game. And then use Add Game without first restarting Inner Space. Alternatively you could have manually modified the Game Profile through the same interface you went through to delete the Game.

You only have to add it manually if it apparently detected the wrong install. Do you have multiple Rift installs?
