Upgrade issue

Hi,

I just upgraded my machine to Windows 8.

After I reinstalled IsBoxer, I opened up my save profile. I was able to launch it without issue, however the Images in the click bars were blank. When I looked further, it appears that the list of images under images (global) was empty.

It appears that the only way I can get that list to populate is to run the setup wizard and create a new group.

However, the act of opening my old profile cleared out the data relating the click bars to the appropriate images. And it saved when I closed IsBoxer, thus overwriting what was there before.

So if I didn't have a backup of my .xml file, I would have to manually re-add the image linkages on all the click bars.

If I have all my groups already set up and am just looking to re-open an existing Profile, it is not clear in any way that the Quick Setup Wizard does more than just setting an individual group and thus must be run once on a new machine to configure the environment.

It seems like it would be proper behavior for that list of global images (and anything else that the quick setup wizard does globally?) to be configured at install rather than ONLY getting populated once a group is created via the quick setup wizard.

To recreate this:

1. Take an existing working ISBoxer profile and save it to your desktop.
2. Uninstall IsBoxer
3. Reinstall IsBoxer
4. Open the save profile
5. Look in the Click Bars --> Broadcast --> Images (global) list

The list will be empty.

Re: Upgrade issue

ISBoxer 40.4.1031.1 (available via Help->About, or from a fresh download) addresses this issue when you Export. (So with a new install of ISBoxer, plus a copied or imported profile, this should actually be corrected for you automatically)

The global image list, as you have discovered, is not stored in your profile. It is generated as needed by the Quick Setup Wizard, yes, but then it is stored in a separate global settings file. That way when you switch profiles you don't have to go manually adding a bunch of images that aren't specific to your profile.
