problems configuring certain keys with wow

I have spent the last 5 hours trying to answer these questions myself, and have seen tons of forums where questions like mine are made fun of,......and i made fun of them myself, until i tried finding information about things i need. The point is that i made the effort before posting this.

I am dual boxing on WoW and followed the quick start guide and have changed absolutely nothing since finishing that step.I am running both instances of wow on 1 computer with 2 monitors.

All i want is to be able to broadcast my shift key as a modifier (shift+1-12) and my mouse whell up/down from my hot character to my slave's monitor.

The shift key works when i have repeating enabled, but it also broadcasts my mouse movements, and for some reason...my character movements. Both of those problems drive me crazy but i will figure them out eventually im sure.

If anyone can take the time to help me with this it would be greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance :)

Re: problems configuring certain keys with wow

Around here the philosophy is that it doesn't really matter too much what kind of effort you made in looking for the answer. Inevitably some guy will be searching and find your post describing things in your words and it sounds like what they want. So here is the answer you and that guy need ;)

What you're looking for is described in either of these places:
* WoW Quick Start Guide: Quickly add many hotkeys, optionally with auto-assist
* Common modifications: The game's Action Bars (Hotkeys)

What you'll do is use the Mapped Key Wizard to set up either "Straight Key Broadcast" or "Assist and Broadcast" (depending on whether you want the keys to auto-assist like 1 through = do for WoW by default), and have it add Shift+1, Shift+2, Shift+3, and so on to Shift+=, as well as MouseWheelUp and MouseWheelDown. All in the same use of the wizard, you'll just hit all of these buttons and click Finish.

Export after finishing the wizard, and that's it. Key Maps on, Broadcasting/Repeater off. Enjoy :)
