Mouse movement not synching in multiwindows

I play on a Qosmio laptop. Resoultion is 1600x900. I bought an external monitor (1920x1050 resolution). I play a 4 char team in LotRO. I changed window layout in ISBoxer and exported to Innerspace. Now the mouse will not sync from the main window to the other 3. I used one of the predetermined configurations for window layout: Single monitor layout on \\.\DISPLAY1 (Swapping,Leave Hole,Avoid Taskbar.

Any ideas what I can check?

You will need to run the Window Layout Wizard in order to get it to pickup the new display and the resolution of it. You will also want the aspect ratio of the windows to be the same. There is an option in the Window Layout Wizard to enforce the Aspect Ratio.

Re: Mouse movement not synching in multiwindows

I did as you asked. The mouse is not sychning. The Y-axis is ok, but the X-axis is way off. It is the smaller windows that show the mouse further along the X-axis. If I change the resolution to 1600x900 (same as the laptop) it is ok. But when the resolution is set to 1920x1050 (the external monitor), the mouse no longer synchs. The window configuration at 1600x900 for the game windows in ISBoxer are 1366x580 for the large window and the lower ones are 341x145. At the resolution of 1920x1050, the game windows in ISBoxer are 1920x832 and 480x208. At 1600x900 this is a 4.0058.. and 4.0 aspect. At 1920x1050 the aspect is 4.0 for both axis.

Any other ideas besides playing in 1600x900 resolution (that kind of defeated the purpose of buying the external monitor- :D ).

Re: Mouse movement not synching in multiwindows

Aspect ratios are weird because if they were normal, 16:9 would be the same as 4:3, but it is not.

Using your numbers:
1920x1080 is 16:9 (ok you didn't provide this one, but there is no monitor I am aware of that natively is 1920x1050)
1920x1050 is 64:35 (probably a 1920x1080 - 30 pixels for the taskbar)
1600x900 is 16:9.
1366x580 is 683:290
341x145 is 683:290.
1920x832 is 30:13
480x208 is 30:13

As long as you are playing on one of the screens it should work out nicely. If you happen to be using both screens, then you will need to make sure that the aspect ratio of the windows on the each of the screen are the same. The Window Layout Wizard should do this if you set the "Maintain Aspect Ratios" to true, and you choose a layout which spans both screens.

The only other thing that springs to mind that might cause an oddity is if the game does nto like the aspect ratio you are throwing at it or is it not picking up your settings properly. Sometimes you need to flick the game between "Fullscreen" and "Windowed Fullscreen" (or just Windowed) a couple of times in order for it to take. It depends on the game, but most of the time you want to end up on the "Windowed Fullscreen" (LOTRO will work quite happily in Windowed mode provided the resolution is the same as your main region).

You need to provide two things for me to help further.
1. a link to your profile. viewtopic.php?f=18&t=13
2. After you have launched your game, open up the ISBoxer GUI (CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+G) and goto the Debug Tab, hit the Capture State button, and paste the results back here.

Re: Mouse movement not synching in multiwindows

My bad. My resolution is 1920x1080. Even with my glasses, sometimes numbers are blurry. It is why I bought a bigger screen and higher resolution.

I'll try the full windowed mode and if it doesn't work, i'll paste the other info you asked for.

Re: Mouse movement not synching in multiwindows

OMG. It was a nightmare getting LotRO to accept the graphic settings. But once it did, the mouse synching appears to be working correctly. Thank you.
