What can i use for labeling videofx on screen?

I need to make some small labels so at quick glance i can associate the viewer with a specific character. I tried click bars but i get a double bar and I would like something smaller if possible. Any suggestions?

i use menus, creating inside the button set a a button that just has {CHARACTER}-{SLOT} in it

i have it assigned to every character set
