Mouse Broadcast button fail

Hi All,

I'm a bit of a newb so bare with me here.

There are two buttons in the upper left corners of my game windows. Prior to the patch I would click the left one and get a message that key broadcasting had been turned off. Then I would click the button to the right of that one and get a message that mouse broadcasting had been turned on.

This was handy when I was logging in because I could click through the log in screens and type passwords that would broadcast to all my open windows.

After this most recent patch, both these buttons have stopped working. When I click them there is no message, and my mouse clicks and typing no longer broadcast.

Can someone tell me how to reactivate this feature please?

Just to add a note, I did not change anything. I downloaded the patch and then launched my team like I always do and the buttons no longer functioned.

Of course not. Nobody ever changes anything, it always breaks on its own.

Which Character Set are you currently concerned with? They all have broken broadcasting toggles as configured, but are not all the same.

"El n Mer" is the least broken. The other 3 Character Sets don't have the Always On Key Map assigned to them, so even though they have the Toggles Click Bar (old) assigned to them, the buttons do nothing because they require the Always On Key Map. To fix those 3, assign the Always On Key Map to them and then Export to Inner Space.

"El n Mer" is using the Toggles Menu (new) instead of the Toggles Click Bar (old), but your Always On Key Map is old (ISBoxer 40) and will not update the images on the menu even though it will successfully toggle broadcasting. So it would technically "work" for this team but may appear confusing. Additionally, if you happen to use the Ctrl+Shift+Alt+B hotkey to toggle the Toggles Click Bar with this team, then it will appear (and fully functioning) in addition to the (partially functioning) Toggles Menu.


Lastly.... because you have done basically no customization other than adding Shift+Alt+1 to send 1 to all windows if you're playing 4 specific Characters, I would just suggest that you just go to the File menu and select Clear. Then use the Quick Setup Wizard again and re-create your team(s). Everything will work correctly and you won't have to worry about fixing specific things in specific teams. Then if you want to add Shift+Alt+1 to send 1 to all, use the Mapped Key Wizard and have it create a "Key Re-Map", with the Hotkey being Shift+Alt+1, the Key Combination to send being 1, and the Target being Window:All w/ Current.

Yes I know, things break by themselves (NOT). I guess what I was saying was that the only thing I did between a successful launch and an unsuccessful launch was loading the patch.

El n Mer (being the least broke) is only because I made them today (after the patch). The remainder of the teams were all made before the patch, and most haven't been launched since before the patch.

OK I will rebuild all my teams, that should be easy enough.

One question. I want to turn off the new feature that auto-broadcasts 1 through 0 keystrokes. I've tried everything (on El n Mer) to shut this off, but have been unable... Could you tell me how to do that please?

Next time through, on the last page of the Quick Setup Wizard, at the bottom of the Hotkeys tab (which is selected by default), uncheck "Standard MMO - Combat - Broadcasting of 1 through =". It's the one with the picture of the Standard Menu next to it.

For your existing Character Set, select it in the top left pane under Character Sets. Then in the bottom left pane where it lists the Menus assigned to your Character Set, click Menus and un-highlight "Standard". (This is the Menu attached by the Quick Setup Wizard option I just described.)
