Framerate issue

I have 2x GTX560s currently not in SLI... I was having a little bit of frame rate issues running 10 Eve Online clients so I just bought an i7 3930k and a new motherboard.

Now I'm having even worse FPS. i noticed once the clients start they are fine.. i set them at 30fps foreground and 15 background. But once my two dxnothing.exes launch my frame rate goes to 1 fps.

GPU 1 is at 77% and the other is at 9%. In isboxer i put the two dxnothings on their own cores. And i put my two outer monitors on one gpu and my center monitor on the other gpu... Nothings working.

Im stuck

1. show me your config HOWTO: Share your configuration for better support
2. tell me which displays are on which video cards
and
3. I'll tell you how to fix your Window Layout so that you don't get the performance hits described in GPU Management

welp issue fixed.. there is an ingame setting that you can choose what display adapter you want the client to run on. I put 4 clients on 1 and the rest on 3.

What about other games, like LOTRO.
How do I make my single GTX590 (with 2 internal GPUs) use the second GPU. It is always idling.
I run 5 lotro accounts and I have 3 monitors. I use a complete screen on the center monitor, and 4 small windows on the right monitor.
The left monitor is for browser, ventrilo, and other non-lotro windows stuff...
Running on windows7 x64, i5 2500K, 16GB ram.
I would like to dedicate 1 GPU for the center monitor and the other for the rest.
Please help...

I'm almost positive that you can't. You're only able to split the load between physical video cards attached to different monitors. When you shut off SLI on a dual-GPU card the other GPU hangs out and does nothing as far as I know.

This is actually more of a GTX 590 question than a LOTRO question.

The GPU is not selected by GPU, it is selected by Display adapter (monitor!). Because the OP has 3 monitors, he can pick the displays. EVE happens to have a setting that somehow has an effect on his framerate. Any such setting is supposed to be automatically overridden by your ISBoxer Window Layout, which selects the correct Display adapter for each window in your layout. In your case, both of the display adapters are most likely going to be permanently powered by the main GPU.

I don't specifically know how your GTX 590 implements everything... but... with the ATI 5970 last year we had a guy that did this. The two GPUs had independent VBIOS, one for the "master" and one for the "slave". By flashing both with the "master" bios, it could act as two independent cards and power separate monitors. Something similar could be possible with the GTX 590. But, from what I'm reading about it, probably not...

With my GTX295 I see both GPUs active when I have my main on monitor 1 and 5 slaves on monitor 2. At 'Very High' settings both gpus run ~80%. GPU-Z shows SLI enabled with 2 gpus.
