Special Character

Been using ISBoxer for a while now. I am not the best at things but I have ran into a small glitch in my setup. I decided I wanted to use the standard green click bars across my 6 accts so I can make my life easier. However, when I enabled that I can no longer use special characters such as $ or ^ etc in Everquest. Is there a way to modify this or disable etc?

Use the special characters for what? Chat? If so, Disable Key Maps when you are typing in Chat. This should also disable the menu.

If for keybinds, it is pretty rare that a game will accept $, ^, &, %, etc. Usually they are recognised as SHIFT+4 SHIFT+5 SHIFT+6 etc...

My apologies for not responding sooner but I forgot about posting. My specific situation is the - button. I use an account that has that in the username so does your answer still apply?

The - key is part of the default hotkeys for the green bar. You can remove that if needed, but then you will need to click the button (the second from right) rather than press the hotkey. As this hotkey is supposed to map to keys that are normally used on game action bars, this might be annoying for you if you are a key presser. As a mouse clicker, maybe not.

As for does it apply, yep, when in chat, typing passwords, or anything else in the game when you need uncontested control over the keyboard, Disable Key Maps, and it should shut down the hotkey capture for the overlay bar.
