Tiny VideoFX Viewers as Regions are Swapped

Hello again,

Another technical issue here. I am running "Single monitor layout on \\.\DISPLAY1 (Swapping,Avoid Taskbar)" with Region 1 being a dxNothing and 2-3 being my EVE clients that swap out for dxNothing from the bottom when clicked.

The problem I am having is that the viewers I set in Region 1 for the sources in 2-3 are the size of the sources in collapsed form. As in, when Region 1 (dxNothing) is active as the main screen, the viewers I pull up are only the size of the boxes collapsed below. So instead of seeing my overview source in a 255x526 as the the source is set, instead the viewer loads to dxNothing at 85x175.

Thanks again for any help and bob, you're the man!

Re: Tiny VideoFX Viewers as Regions are Swapped

Because you are encountering a variation of .... http://www.isboxer.com/wiki/FAQ#Why_doe ... quality.3F which is why the video fx page says
If the Video FX source region is in a scaled down window, the Video FX viewer will also be affected (i.e. pixellated). This feature is therefore most useful with larger "slave" windows, which do not need to be visible and may be hidden behind other windows. The 'Stacked full screen' style from the wizard is ideal. Note that minimizing a window will usually stop it from rendering entirely.

Basically, the Windows DWM is taking the Displayed version of what you are looking at, and re-scaling it to match the output you specified.

You fix this by using a Stacked Full Screen window layout (for you game regions), and then if you want mini viewers of your game (like the Window Layout Wizard does), then you need to do something like:

Re: Tiny VideoFX Viewers as Regions are Swapped

Alright I see! So I basically use dxnothing to create a mock region-swapping window layout! It's all coming together. Bob I can't thank you enough for all your help.

Probably be back with another question soon =]
