Interact with target not working

Well I got my team up and running last night 5 mages. Everything is going well but I feel like I am in boxing stone age not having interact with target setup correctly. I tried following the steps on the wiki but I don't understand how the targetting system in ISboxer works. How do the clones get the mains target. Is there a shortcut key to send the mains target to the clones?

I think I can solve this problem with a /assist main target macro on all the clones but I don't want to pigeon hole myself into that. Once I figure out how to give the clones a target then I can debug why they aren't interacting with the target correctly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Re: Interact with target not working

What it sounds like you're missing is that ISBoxer already has everything set up for you to use Interact with Target, except that it cannot know the Key Binding in the game in advance because the game has no assigned key for this by default.

So you have to tell ISBoxer what that key is, and then you need to tell ISBoxer what key you want to press (these are referred to as the Hotkey).

All most people will typically have to do is..
1. Assign the Key Binding in the game (because by default it is not assigned)
2. Tell ISBoxer what key you assigned. This is under Variable Keystrokes, the one named Interact with Target.
3. Tell ISBoxer what Hotkey you want to press to activate this on the whole team. It can be the same as the Key Binding you set in the game, but personally I add Alt to activate it on the whole team; it's up to you. This is under Key Maps, in "Non-combat", and the Mapped Key name to set the Hotkey on is "Interact with Target". If you want Click to Move to stay on (maybe you normally play with it on), set the Hotkey on "Interact with Target - Keep CTM" instead. These Mapped Keys are already set up to have the team Assist the character you are currently playing.

Re: Interact with target not working

I think I have done most of those steps. What I still don't understand is how the clones are getting a target from the main. It seems to work like magic they don't have a target but attack what the main is targetting. I think if I can push a target to the clones then I will be able to get interact with target working. Thanks for the help.

Re: Interact with target not working

So, from what I can tell, your issue is that when you ran through the Quick Setup Wizard on the 3rd time round, you've not set the same hotkeys as previously, so the Wizard has asked you whether you wanted to overwrite your previous settings, and you said NO. So this created a new set of Key Maps, specifically for your character set Msgray_restart2.
These are:
WOW-Always On
WOW-Combat
WOW-Non-combat.

Now assuming that all the character sets are for WOW (seeing as all the Characters are WOW characters), I would start with deleting these Key Maps. You can do this by selecting Key Maps -> WOW-Always On, in the top left pane, and hitting the DELETE key. Do the same for the other two.

Then in the top left pane, select Character Sets -> Msgray_restart2, and in the lower left pane select Key Maps. And then in the right pane, select and highlight the three key maps, Always-On, Combat, Non-combat.

In the lower left pane, select Menus -> Toggles, and untick the Button Set override.
Finally, In the lower left pane, select Menus, and select and highlight the Standard Menu (this will give you the clickable Overlay for the ingame Action bar).

Export to Inner Space.

Now, what did we fix. Well, we removed the duplicate Key Maps that are unnecessary, and get created when you select to not overwrite existing key maps maintained by the Quick Setup Wizard, when you inadvertently select different options to those you have already configured.
Second, we removed the override on the Toggle Menu (the Keymaps/Broadcast overlays).
Third we assigned the previous Key Maps which you had configured and assigned to your other two character sets
Fourth, we added the clickable overlay bar for your ingame action bar. You can also trigger this with the 1 to = hotkeys (these usually match the in game action bar)

The "L" key should now work for your Interact With Target. According to the settings this is what is your ISBoxer Hotkey, and also the Keybind configured in-game for the Interact With Target (these do not have to be the same, but in your config they are).

Re: Interact with target not working

That has nothing to do with Interact with target. Try to stay on topic, or create a new one.

But the green bar is a Menu, and info about it, and the Primer video which explains some things is also on this page. http://isboxer.com/wiki/Menu
A real short intro is here https://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=p ... PrShk25xpQ

But the textual version, which also would have shown up as a message when you started up your character set for the first time, is:
After loading your team, press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+G to bring up the in game ISBoxer GUI.
Move the menu to where you want it by dragging the title bar around.
Hit the Save button on the Menu tab of the ISBoxer GUI to save the new location.
press CTRL+SHIFT+ALT+G again to close the in game ISBoxer GUI.

Note, if the sizing is not correct, this is also covered in this video, at approximately 10:35. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P_xAyfEQ ... e&t=10m35s
Yes this video is Lotro, but the menu is the same.
