Mouse Button ID's

Lax or anyone:

Could you please explain (or I should say identify) mouse1 through mouse5?

I have a Microsoft 5 button Intellimouse and I am wanting to setup some mouse buttons for Hotkeys. The mouse buttons are laid out like this:

Lower left side
Upper left side
Middle (scroll wheel)
upper Right side
Lower Right side

I already use the Lower Left side button for Auto Run (bound within the keymappings of Lotro).

How do those relate to mouse1 through 5 ?

Also can you utilize Control, Shift and Alt keys in conjunction with the mouse buttons? For a possible 15 combination's?

Thanks in advance for any info. I didn't see this info in the Wiki (might be good to include it).

Re: Mouse Button ID's

I know you can combine modifiers with left and right clicks, I've used those in Repeater Regions for healing.
Have not attempted modifiers on additional mouse buttons, but there's one way to find out.

Re: Mouse Button ID's

Here's the typical/standard list:
Mouse 1 = left button, the one you "left click" with
Mouse 2 = right button, the one you "right click" with
Mouse 3 = middle button (generally combined with scroll wheel)
Mouse 4 = usually a button on the left SIDE of the mouse
Mouse 5 = usually a button on the right SIDE of the mouse

It's up to the device manufacturer where to put the buttons, so mouse4/5 are NOT always on the left or right sides of the mouse. On my Razer Naga, for example, they are both kind of built into side of the left mouse button.

Mouse buttons are buttons like any other, you can use any combination of Ctrl, Alt and Shift with any mouse button. And the auto-detect box ISBoxer Hotkey Picker window will accept mouse clicks with these combos.

One thing you need to be aware of, though, is that when you configure these buttons in the GAME, the game is going to interpret the mouse buttons differently depending on where the mouse cursor is. If the cursor is over a GUI window, the GUI window may intercept the click and change the functionality (when it's configured as a Hotkey in ISBoxer, only IS windows can block the broadcast part; IS can't tell where the game's GUI windows are). A lot of people don't consider/realize that and they bind something to mouse4 or mouse5, and then they do something like set up mouse 4 to broadcast mouse 4 to all windows. Then they ask why it only works sometimes. :) If you're going to do that, make sure your Mapped Key has a Sync Cursor action before the click is passed.
