pip and focus the new main toon how?

Trying to switch from Keyclone to ISboxer.

I'm finding it terribly difficult heh.

Anyway, in Keyclone I had F7,F8,F9,F10,F11 setup for my pip keys accodingly. Since keyclone was intuitive and easy it would broadcast these keystrokes to all the windows so I would setup macros on all my toons. F7 Would be /focus Rottenkraem (my main tank) - except on Rottenkraem's toon it would be /clearfocus. I would bind "W" to a macro to /follow focus. I would stop following by tapping "6" which for everyone was to move backwards. It's simple and works great. Well for heroics anyway.

I'm trying to get this same configuration going in ISboxer but failing horribly. I thought i figured out the whole black/white list thing. But trying to setup my focus macros is just not working.

I tried the option under Character sets - Slots - When I switch to this character .... World of Warcraft: Generate a Focus Target macro on this keystroke.

It sounds like it would do what my in game macros were doing. I really don't know how it would achieve this in game - should I see an equivalent macro in my /macro settings in wow? I have no idea. But I checked this box and nobody's focus is switching as a result. I tried setting it up like in Keyclone where I have the Hotkey to switch to this character F7 and Broadcast this keystroke F7. Then I attempted to setup macros in WoW for F7. Frustratingly enough if I am on my war I can't even assign F7 to anything. WoW won't recognize the keystroke. It's like ISBoxer is blocking it from getting to the WoW client.

Re: pip and focus the new main toon how?

Honestly the biggest favor you could do yourself is to stop trying to get your focus macros working, and use the configuration generated by the Quick Setup Wizard. Since it's intuitive and easy, it just works instead of having to muck about with macros. I would highly recommend at least trying it out on a couple level 1's and compare it to your focus-based setup either way.

When you make changes to WoW macros through ISBoxer (like checking that generate a focus macro box) you will need to do a /reloadui (or /console reloadui) in WoW to reload the ISBoxer Addon. And make sure that Addon is enabled from the Character Select screen if it doesn't work after that. F7 in the 2 spots on that page are equivalent to what you were doing with Keyclone, you're right about that. Last thing to note here is that if F7 is assigned to an Action Bar Button (e.g. because you were assigning macros to it in game), ISBoxer can't generate a macro for that key.

Finally, no you will not see any changes to your macro settings in WoW from ISBoxer. ISBoxer does not make any permanent changes to your normal WoW configuration, and any macros are "hidden" (same as if you use other macro addons like Macaroon, etc)
