Switching Char Sets w/o WOW restart?

I have two triple box setups on WOW that I like to play using the same 3 WOW accounts, but my server has a long queue that I like to avoid. Is there a way I can switch between these two char sets w/o restarting my WOW process instances? What I would love to do to swap my char sets is log out of my three toons, not disconnecting from the WOW server, set my char set to the other three toons, and log back in.

Log out to Character Selection screen, select the new character set from the launch menu, then log in the new characters :)

Re: Switching Char Sets w/o WOW restart?

I tried this the other day, and immediately had a lot of issues with repeater regions and the action bars.. specifically, the block local click on repeater region wasn't working, so every time I tried to heal my tank, his vuhdo spell would go off at the same time as the healer's.. maybe this was just a fluke? I've seen multiple people say switching sets this way works w/o issue.. Maybe I'll give it another try next time I'm in game - see if I get reproducible results.

Re: Switching Char Sets w/o WOW restart?

When you switch Character Sets, the current set's repeater regions are cleared and replaced with the new set's repeater regions. The block local click should depend only on the new set's region setup, it shouldn't make any difference whether you launched it cleanly or had a different set loaded
