Jumping

Hey guys,

Brand new to multiboxing got everything setup and purchased a subscription. I am running WOW one pally tank and two ele shammies for dungeon runs but i cant figure out one thing. How to get all 3 toons to run and jump over a gap at the same time? I cant figure it out for the life of me.

I use the click repeater function and the jump ob works on all three toons but the toons don't run straight with it's on so they don't make the platform, I have tried space on the main toon then the hotkey as quick as i can for the alt toons but they don't make it either? There must be an easier way?

If not is there a way i can jump them over individually? Because as soon as i change screens to jump an alt all toons follow him and it stuffs it up. I cant find anything on this sorry for my noobnus.

Re: Jumping

I had that same problem with that same jump the first time around.

First, there is no reliable way to synchronise jumping your team over such an obstacle. When it is a small wall you can just try again but when it is a gap like this you need a reliable method. Here are two options:

1. Turn off auto-follow on character switch. To do this, for each Slot in your Character Set there is an option to perform a Mapped Key on character switch. If it is set to Follow/JambaMaster just change it to JambaMaster. If it is set to something just involving Follow, just don't do any Mapped Key on character switch.
2. Make a Mapped Key to break follow. You can do this using a Straight Key Broadcast of S, with a Target of just your slaves. The Mapped Key Wizard is the best way to do this. Make sure to enable the option for movement keys in the wizard. A Hotkey of Ctrl+S is good for this. Then, if you want your slaves to stop following your main, just hit Ctrl+S.

Sorry for the vague descriptions. I am on a PC without ISBoxer installed.

Re: Jumping

For Option 2, Mapped Key Wizard, General Key Map, Key Re-map, Hotkey = Ctrl+S, Key Combination = S, Target = Window:All w/o Current, Hold... = checked is what you want.

Re: Jumping

Hey Alge ,

I tried option 2, setup was no problem the mapped key breaks follow so i can jump over with my main toon but soon as I switch screens to one of my slave characters to jump over all toons follow him again putting me back at square one. Did i do something wrong?

Also I followed your guide on setting up the mouse click bars and it works fantastic but now when i switch screens to a slave and move instead of the toons following the slave they all run in opposite directions when i move? Thank you for your help sorry for all the questions.

Re: Jumping

Stop a fair bit short of the gap, break follow, jump your first character across and move that character up the corridor a bit. Then switch to your second character and quickly press Ctrl+S to break the auto-follow after character switch. Rinse and repeat. Personally, I find auto-follow on character switch more trouble than it is worth. I'd also suggest disabling it as I described above.

They are doing that because Repeater is on in that window. See FAQ: Why do my toons move in different directions?. You must be turning it on somehow. I'd probably need to see your ISBoxer configuration to work out how that would happen. See Sharing your ISBoxer configuration.

Re: Jumping

Hey Alge,

Works perfect now thank you so much. I ended up just turning off the auto follow as you suggested and I can now switch screens and perform the jump go back to the main toon screen then use the map key to get them to follow again def the best way to go :)

Also i closed the WOW windows down and reopened everything and the repeater issue is gone maybe i just needed to do a restart after making the click box. Needless to say the click box and following is working perfectly. Thank you very much for your prompt and informative reply really appreciate it. ;)
