Having trouble with key maps

Hi all,

I'm brand new to ISBoxer, so please pardon my complete cluelessness here. I just got it set up for EQ1 insomuch as I was able to load my 3 toons and get them to autofollow, sit/stand, and assist with a button press.

The problem I'm having, however, is that my spell gems are mapped in-game to 1-10 (whereas the default is for 1-10 to control Hotbar 1). I do this for my Razer Naga, and so that I can also reach up with my left hand and hit 1-3, which are a bit of a reach for me on the mouse. As such, I'd like to keep them this way. Having said that, every time I cast from the mouse or from 1-10, all 3 toons cast whatever is in that slot. This is becoming problematic, as I need to be able to cast freely on whichever window is active, and only cast in unison for certain things that I've defined (which will not be using 1-10 as mapped keys). I had planned that, for spells I'd like to cast simultaneously, I'd use spell gems dropped on the hotbar, or a macro on the hotbar, instead.

The only work-arounds I've found are (1) change the key mapping in-game for spell casting to be something such as SHIFT+1 through SHIFT+9 for casting spells, which is annoying because I'm so accustomed to just pressing the Naga button without an additional keyboard button, or (2) change the Naga to use numpad instead of 123, and then change the in-game key mappings for spell casting to NUM1 through NUM10. But then I can't reach up and hit the 123 keys with my left hand, as a substitute for the mouse keys that are a bit of a pain to reach.

Bottom line, is there any way that I can tell ISBoxer not to repeat 123 key presses to my other windows; that is, without disabling key maps altogether?

I hope that I have explained this properly, but please let me know if I was unclear, as I'm not familiar enough with the software yet to be able to even phrase my question well. Thanks so much for your time!

Re: Having trouble with key maps

Yes.

You can remove the mapped keys that are responding to the 1 to = key presses.

This is either via a menu, which is then displayed as some green boxes on your characters, or it is via some mapped keys that are homed in the Key Maps -> Combat tree.
Which one depends on your selection in the Quick Setup Wizard.

Deleting mapped keys from Key Maps -> Combat is as easy as selecting them, and pressing DEL.

The Menu has several options.
You can select Character Sets -> YourCharacterSet in the top left, then in the lower pane, select Menus -> Standard, and press DEL. This will remove the menu (and green boxes) from your character set.
Or, you can select Menus -> Standard in the top left, and then in the lower right, set the Hot Key Set drop down to the blank entry. This will then remove the 1 to = as the trigger keys for the menu, but leave the boxes there, so when you click on them, they still send 1 to = to all clients.
Other options start to add to the work.

p.s. You need to Export after making changes.
