Two mapped keys, same hotkey

I have two versions of mapped keys for assist/follow that I switch between with a mode toggle of sorts in my 'Always On' key map. The first mode is your typical setup, while the second uses a focus target. What I'm trying to do is have both respective versions of my assist and follow mapped keys use the same hotkey. I've had no trouble doing this with follow because it simply involves turning one mapped key off while the other is on. But I haven't been able to do the same with assist because I'm using a virtualization action to turn one version into the other wherever it appears (e.g., in various places in the 'Combat' key map). And I can't just turn off the mapped key being virtualized.

So what is a newb to do? I'm thinking I need to create some sort of dummy mapped key that in turn points to the version of assist I'm looking to use. That way, I only ever have to assign one hotkey. I'm not entirely sure about the best way to do this though. Any suggestions are welcome.

Yeah it sounds like you want to remove the Hotkey from your assist Mapped Keys, and set up a new one that just uses a Do Mapped Key Action to perform the assist

Okay. That was a total case of analysis paralysis on my part. It was indeed just as simple as you suggested Lax. Here's hoping this post at least helps someone in the future facing a similar problem.

Cheers.
