EQ1-Disableing Keymaps while chatting

I made my own custom keymaps for my box team where as keys 1-0 would broadcast to all the screens when I press one of the keys which works fine. The problem is that I would like to disable the broadcasting while i chat. The toggle keys do not toggle these on or off at any time. Is there any way to toggle the ones I made off with a hotkey while I chat?

Re: EQ1-Disableing Keymaps while chatting

Generally when you make these Hotkeys you want to put them in the Combat or Non-combat Key Maps, which will get toggled by the default toggle. If you put them in Always On, these are meant to be permanently on and I would recommend removing them from the Always On Key Map (select Always On in the top left pane, then remove them from the bottom left pane).

If you made a separate Key Map, then see FAQ: I added a new Key Map but the Key Maps toggle does not disable it?

I originally intended to make those hotkeys in combat only and still wish to do so. What I do not understand is if I make them with the wizard as combat only keys, what tells Isboxer that I am in combat or do i need to make a hotkey to toggle in/out of combat? If I do have to make one, Could you please tell me how to do this? I think that would solve my problems.

Press Shift+Alt+M to disable them. Typically you only need to disable them when you want to type in the chat window, etc -- not when you get in/out of combat which would be pretty often and burdensome.
