Temporarily Mute/Disable some Mapped Keys?

What's a good way to "mute" or disable some Mapped Keys when one of my characters execute a channel ability? I want to temporarily disable all combat MKeys for, say, 6 seconds. Not just within a multi-step MKey.

Can I temporarily disable a whole Key Map for a specified time? E.g. with the "Timer" option in a "Key Map State Action"? (Not sure how those "Timer" options work...)
Or perhaps make a character temporarily leave an Action Group and automatically re-join 6 seconds later?

I'm not sure how those "Timer" options work... But perhaps I can have a Channel-ability MKey with two "Key Map State Actions", one to disable the Combat Key Map immediately and the second to reenable it again after a set Timer?

If you want to turn a Key Map off for 6 seconds you need to create a Mapped Key with two Key Map State Actions (I put them in the same Step). The first should have no Timer and turn the Key Map off, the second should have an Action Timer set to a delay of 6 seconds and should turn the Key Map back on. Make sure you use a unique name for the Timer Group.

Or perhaps make a character temporarily leave an Action Group and automatically re-join 6 seconds later?

You can do that in exactly the same way but use Target Groups Actions instead.

Yep, that's exactly how it works.
