G19 Keyboard and/or Naga Mouse

I have both a G19 keyboard and a Naga Razer mouse with ample buttons to program things on it. In ISBoxer when I go into the Input Device Editor I see all of the various controllers listed w/ their appropriate buttons.

The problem is that none of the buttons (G19 or additional mouse buttons) show up as options in the Hotkey Picker at all. I have already once deleted the XML file that holds the device information to have InnerSpace re-detect them (which is does) but I still never get the option to assign anything to any of them.

I'm probably missing something really basic as this is all new to me w/ this application - but any insight would be helpful.

Re: G19 Keyboard and/or Naga Mouse

The Razer Naga is not natively supported by Inner Space. I have two of them myself ;) Support for it (and many other devices like it) is available with ISBoxer + Inner Space's future replacement (same subscription)

The G19 should work though. If it's listed in the InputDevices.XML file then you should definitely have buttons G19-G1 through G19-G12, G19-M1 through G19-MR and G19-LCDTOGGLE available in the drop-down box. Pressing them will not automatically pick it in the drop-down box though.

If it's not listed in the InputDevices.XML, then find instructions here for pulling data from the device for native support.

Alrighty - I did manage to find the G19 keys in the drop-down now, out of the blue. Dunno what changed but I appreciate the speedy response.

I know that they are not available under the Variable Keystrokes section and I'm SURE there is a legit reason for that, but I don't know what it is. :)

Re: G19 Keyboard and/or Naga Mouse

You can use the G keys as Hotkeys in ISBoxer but cannot send them to the game because the game does not recognise them, i.e. ISBoxer natively supports G keys but games do not. Variable Keystrokes correspond to in-game keybinds and so fall into the latter category.

See Logitech G-series, particularly paragraph 2 under Using "ISBoxer native support".
