I started multiboxing with the basic setup “basic broadcasting 1 through =“
In game it works fine, without the need to activate „broadcasting“
However it want to change the button layout to something I’m more familiar with.
But the problem is the buttons I set only work when «broadcasting» is activated in game
and because of that my other characters don’t properly follow me anymore and just walk straight.
So can anyone tell my if I can change the button layout for my spells without having to have “broadcasting” active.

You haven't specifically said how you've set anything up, but you would normally be using the Mapped Key Wizard to set up more keys.
